Chevron Oronite is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its brand in 2017.
"Throughout the year, we'll be looking back at the incredible journey we've had over the last century," said Des King, president, Chevron Oronite.
Since its introduction in 1917 by Standard Oil Company (California), the Oronite brand has been synonymous with specialty petroleum-based products and has evolved into a recognized global leader in the development and manufacturing of lubricant and fuel additives, said the company in a press release. "Oronite is extremely proud of our rich history which has produced a steady stream of technological innovation, ranging from some of the first fuel additives to innovative detergent chemistries that are used in a variety of engines." King continued. "We are grateful for the thousands of talented and dedicated Oronite employees over the years that have maintained a steadfast commitment to reliably supply quality and innovative products to our customers."
