IEA’s Global EV Outlook Reports 54% Increase in Electric and Plug-In Hybrid Cars in 2017

The number of electric and plug-in hybrid cars on the world’s roads exceeded 3 million in 2017, a 54% increase from 2016. China remained the largest electric car market in the world, with 580,000 electric cars sold in 2017, a 72% increase from 2016. The United States had the second-highest, with about 280,000 cars sold in 2017, up from 160,000 in 2016.

SINOPEC last week said it will expand lubricant production and marketing channels for overseas sales. Overseas lubricants sales volume of SINOPEC has grown to 124,000 tons in 2017, and has achieved a growth of more than 20% for four consecutive years.The company said it aims to continue that trend by expanding the number of countries it sells into.
