Shell Oil Products (SOPUS) last week announced a general price increase on lubricants of up to 4%, effective September 23, 2013 which equates to roughly a 24 cents per gallon increase for bulk lubricants and a 40 cents per gallon increase for packaged products. This was Shell's second price increase this year, having announced a similar 4% price increase on March 11. Shell attributed the price increase to increasing costs of raw materials.

On April 5, 2013, Chevron announced an increase in the prices of all lubricating oils by 3% - 6% effective May 16, 2013.
On April 8, 2013, Phillips 66 Lubricants announced an increase on finished lubricants prices 4-5% effective May 17, 2013.
On April 9, 2013, CITGO announced a general price increase of 4% on list and customer specific prices effective with shipments occurring on and after May 15, 2013.
Castrol announced a general price increase of up to 4% on all Passenger Car, Commercial and ancillary products, including synthetics, in all package types, effective May 6, 2013.
On March 11, Shell Oil Products US (SOPUS) announced a general price increase of up to 4% on its lubricants, effective April 15, 2013.
On April 4, 2013, ExxonMobil announced an increase in the prices of its branded and unbranded lubricants and greases by up to 4% effective May 16, 2013.
Petro-Canada announced on March 13 an increase in the US in the price of its white oils and process oils of 3% effective April 11.
CAM2 announced on March 22, 2013 price increases as follows. Conventional and synthetic blend lubricants sold in bulk by $0.20 per gallon effective April 5. Packaged lubricants by $0.25 per gallon on April 12. Grease prices by $0.03 per pound. There was no increase at that time in the price of its synthetics.
Smitty's Supply announced on March 26, 2013 a price increase effective April 15, 2013 as follows. Conventional and synthetic blend bulk lubricants by $0.20 to $0.25 per gallon. Grease prices by $0.03 per pound. There was no change in the price of its synthetic lubricants.
Warren Oil announced on March 27 a price increase on all its conventional and synthetic blend packaged lubricants by $0.25 per gallon effective May 1, 2013. Bulk conventional and synthetic blend lubricant prices by $0.20 per gallon effective April 12. Grease prices by 0.03 per pound effective May 1.
Amalie announced a price increase on April 2 of $0.24 per gallon for all oil and automotive chemical products for all Amalie brands, as well as for all private labeled products. Amalie grease products were increasd by $0.03 per pound effective May 1, 2013.
Safety-Kleen announced a price increase on its Performance Plus line of finished lubricants of $0.25 per gallon effective April 27.
Old World Industries announced a price increase on all bulk and packaged conventional and synthetic blend lubricant by 0.20 per gallon effective April 15. Bulk and full synthetic products prices were to remain unchanged.
