Evonik Oil Additives Announces Singapore Plant Expansion

Evonik Industries has announced a significant expansion of its Jurong Island, Singapore oil additives plant, to be completed in early 2015. With ongoing improvement and debottlenecking projects scheduled to be finalized during the first half of 2014, these optimizations and the planned expansion will nearly double the capacity of the oil additives plant in Singapore.

Bulgaria's Prista Oil Buys Chevron Czech Republic

Bulgaria’s Prista Oil has acquired Prague-based Chevron Czech Republic as part of its strategy to expand in Central and Eastern Europe. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. As part of the deal, Prista Oil will continue to develop the Texaco brand over the next five years.

Australia's Southern Oil Refining to Build Re-refinery

Australia's Southern Oil Refineries is investing A.$55 (US$50.5) million to build a rerefinery, its second in the country, that can process 100 million litres of used oil a year. The Yarwun plant, located approximately ten km west of Gladstone, Queensland, is expected to begin operation by November 2013.

Terex Sells Its Heavy Wheel Loader Line

German manufacturer Atlas Maschinen has acquired all intellectual properties for Terex’s large wheeled loader line, consisting of the TL160, TL210, TL260 and TL310 models. Production would be moved from Terex’s Crailsheim factory in Germany to Atlas Maschinen’s Ganderkesee factory, also in Germany. The price of the deal was not disclosed.
