German manufacturer Atlas Maschinen GmbH has announced the purchase of all intellectual properties for Terexs large wheeled loader line, consisting of the TL160, TL210, TL260 and TL310 models. This equipment line ranges in size from 1.5 cubic meter bucket capacity to 3 cubic meters. The price of the deal was not disclosed.
During the last quarter of 2013, production will be moved from Terex's Crailsheim factory in Germany to the Atlas factory in Ganderkesee, Germany.
Atlas Maschinen said it would produce the machines under both the Terex brand and under the new brand Kaelble/Atlas.
Atlas Maschinen owner and chairman Fil Filipov said the L160, L210, L260, L310 models, as they will be known, complemented the Kaelble/Atlas brands existing L420 and L450 models.

Atlas Maschinen has a relationship with Terex, which owned the company up until 2010, when Atlas was acquired by Mr Filipov.
Wheel loaders under the brand name Kaelble/Atlas will incorporate the required improvements when EU Stage 4 emissions regulations take effect in 2014.
Also in 2010, Atlas Maschinen completed its purchase of Terex Atlas UK and renamed the company Atlas Cranes UK Ltd.
Earlier this year, Terex sold its Roadbuilding operations in Brazil and certain mobile roadbuilding product lines in the U.S. to the Fayat Group (Bomag and Marini). Product lines included asphalt plants and pavers manufactured in Porto Allegre, Brazil, and assets for the asphalt paver, reclaimer stabilizer and material transfer product lines manufactured in Oklahoma City.
