Valvoline Launches Engine Armour Developed Specifically for Middle East Markets

Valvoline™ has introduced Engine Armour™, the first line of fully synthetic engine oils developed specifically for Middle East markets.

Engine Armour's patented ThermalShield™ technology has been proven to outperform most competing products when it comes to protecting engines and maintaining performance in the hot and sandy driving environments found in the Middle East.

Engine Armour oil is the culmination of Valvoline's continued research and development to perfect its engine oil range for the extreme conditions that prevail in the Middle Eastern and African (MEA) markets. The result is a high-performance product with Valvoline's unique trademarked ThermaShield additive technology, providing outstanding protection against corrosion, engine wear and extreme temperatures.

"Valvoline's Engine Armour is a unique product in the market," said Keith Johnson, MEA general manager. "Its Thermal Shield additive technology superbly prevents the onset of oxidation of oil, which is the main cause of oil degradation in extreme temperatures. The product was tested against all major lubricants in the region and the results showed it outperformed comparative brands by 70 percent. It delivers unprecedented, first-rate engine protection for our customers. We have also conducted consumer research in the UAE and the response was very positive - there's demand for a product that offers protection and performance suited to local conditions."

To cover engines in all the main vehicle models, ages, types and makes, Valvoline offers Engine Armour in the following viscosity grades: SAE 5W-40, 10W-40 and 20W-50.
