Global Energy Needs Expected to Increase 35 Percent by 2040

Global energy needs are projected to be about 35 percent higher in 2040 than in 2010 with oil and natural gas expected to meet about 60 percent of this energy demand. Natural gas will continue to be the fastest-growing major fuel source, projected to account for more than one quarter of all global energy needs by 2040, as natural gas demand increases by about 65 percent.

Saudi Arabia's Dabbagh Group is reportedly planning to sell a 19 percent stake in its lubricants business Petromin ahead of a potential public offering of the unit in 2015. Dabbagh Group owns 100% of Jeddah-based Petromin after buying out a 49 percent stake held by India's Hinduja Group in May this year.
