Further our reporting the last two weeks of finished lubricant price increases by Shell, Chevron, Cam2, Smitty's Supply, Warren Oil, ExxonMobil, CITGO, Phillips 66, Old World Industries, Omni Specialty Packaging, Warren Distribution, Kleen Performance Products and Chemlube, add Valvoline, Nu-Tier, Allegheny Petroleum Products and Advanced Lubrication Specialties to the list.
Valvoline in a letter to Valvoline Installer Channel announced it will increase prices on branded lubricant products by up to 5% and vary by sku and segment, effective Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Valvoline stated that this price adjustment is a result of rising raw material costs associated with manufacturing and distribution.
Castrol announced that it will increase the price of its Castrol and BP branded lubricants by up to 5% effective March 20, 2017. Castrol attributes the adjustments to the higher cost of base oils, additives, packaging, and transportation.
Nu-Tier announced a price increase on all finished lubricants of 5 to 8% effective February 20, 2017
Advanced Lubrication Specialties (ALS) announced a finished lubricant price increase of 5 to 8% effective February 20, 2017
Allegheny Petroleum Products announced it will increase the price of its finished lubricants by $0.25 per gallon effective February 20th. According to Allegheny, the increase is due to recent industry wide raw material price increases used in manufacturing of lubricants.
