Zschimmer & Schwarz Acquires LEXOLUBE Division from INOLEX

In line with a clearly defined growth strategy, Zschimmer & Schwarz, Inc., has acquired the LEXOLUBE Division from INOLEX, Inc. The acquisition expands the existing business portfolio of the specialty chemicals manufacturer with additional specialty lubricants and lubricant components. The transaction took place on January 3rd, 2017.

"The acquisition adds a series of high quality and IP-protected innovative solutions to our existing lubricant portfolio. Our technical capability and capacity will allow us to continue strong growth in the lubricant market segment." "Zschimmer & Schwarz is the perfect match," says Tyler Housel, former EVP of INOLEX Inc. and now Head of the LEXOLUBE Division at Zschimmer & Schwarz, Inc. "The new organization will make us a stronger supplier to our valued customers."

INOLEX will continue to produce LEXOLUBE products for a certain period until manufacturing is transferred to the Milledgeville, GA site. Sales for LEXOLUBE products will be exclusively handled by Zschimmer & Schwarz Inc.

INOLEX is an independent, global personal care ingredient company founded in 1892 and based in Philadelphia, USA. "This transaction represents an important strategic milestone for INOLEX as we focus on providing innovative ingredients and technology into the beauty care and related consumer care markets," said David Plimpton, President and CEO of INOLEX. "LEXOLUBE has been a successful part of the INOLEX platform for many years, and we look forward to supporting a smooth transition of the division to Zschimmer & Schwarz as they continue to build the business line."

Zschimmer & Schwarz, a family owned business founded in 1894, with headquarters in Lahnstein, Germany, develops and produces high performance chemical auxiliaries for the leather, ceramic, textile/fiber, personal care, lubricant, polymer and phosphonate industries/markets. The Zschimmer & Schwarz group is comprised of 28 companies worldwide, 20 of them with production facilities.
