Porter, TX-based Royal Purple, a Calumet Specialty Products owned company, has introduced Duralec, a new line of commercial automotive lubricants developed for the over-the-road trucking, construction, mining, agriculture and heavy-duty fleet markets. Duralec commercial products include heavy-duty motor oils, automatic and manual transmission fluids, gear oil, universal tractor fluids, hydraulic fluids, multi-purpose grease, coolant additive and diesel additives.
This new product line includes the following Duralec lubricants:
Duralec Super - Royal Purples Duralec Super motor oils are high performance synthetic engine oils. They are made for EPA 2007 and 2010 emissions equipped diesel engines requiring the use of emissions compliant oil.
Duralec Ultra - It is recommended for use in both two-cycle and four-cycle diesel applications including automotive, commercial fleet and stationary industrial diesel engines. Duralec Ultra also provides oxidation stability that extends drain intervals and minimizes harmful oil degradation.
Duralec ATF - Royal Purples Duralec ATF is a synthetic high-performance automatic transmission fluid formulated for demanding operating conditions. Duralec ATF is fully compatible with most other automatic transmission fluids and can be mixed with these other automatic transmission fluids.
Duralec MTF - Duralec Manual Transmission Fluid is a blend of premium mineral and synthetic lubricants. It provides friction performance with both the metallic and nonmetallic friction materials found in todays hi-tech powershift transmissions. It also meets the requirements of Caterpillar TO-4, Allison C-4, API CF and CF-2, Eaton and Dana manual transmissions.
Duralec UTF - Duralec UTF (Universal Tractor Fluid) is recommended for farm tractors and other mobile equipment where one common oil reservoir supplies the transmission, hydraulic system, differentials, wet brakes and/or final drives. It meets the requirements of many tractor manufacturers.
Duralec Gear Oil HD - Duralec Gear Oil HD. Royal Purples ultra-tough, high performance commercial automotive gear oil is recommended for use in truck and automotive front or rear differentials, manual transmissions and lower gear units of marine engines that specify use of an API GL-5 or GL-4 fluid.
Duralec Hydraulic HD - Duralec Hydraulic HD is a high-performance hydraulic fluid formulated from premium base stocks and advanced additive technology to deliver superior protection and extended equipment life.
The Duralec product line also includes Duralec Coolant Conditioner HD and Duralec Diesel Optimizer HD & Duralec Diesel Optimizer HD Winter.
