Calumet has announced its investment as a joint venture partner in the construction of a commercial GTL plant that is expected to produce 1,100 barrels per day of refined products from natural gas. The Lake Charles, Louisiana plant, expected to be operational by late 2015, has a total estimated cost of $135 million.

Chicago, IL-based Daubert Chemical has completed a multi-million dollar, three-year plant expansion of its Chicago calcium sulfonate manufacturing plant, more than doubling its previous production capacity.

Houston, TX-based J.A.M. Distributing Company has announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Houston-based Jones Oil and J.B. Jones Enterprises. d/b/a High-Tech Equipment. J.A.M. is a distributor of ExxonMobil lubricants, while Jones distributes Castrol, CITGO, Valvoline and other products

Colonial Fuel & Lubricant Services Inc., a subsidiary of Savannah-based Colonial Group Inc., has bought Spartanburg, S.C.-based Smoke Oil, a South Carolina fuel delivery firm as part of the continued expansion of its fuel and lubricant services offerings, which now span Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
