Chemtura Corporation announced last Friday that effective April 1, 2017 or as contracts allow, as a result of the continued escalation of costs, it will increase prices globally for the following Petroleum Additives products:
Detergents: Calcinate®, Hybase®, Lobase®
Calcium Sulfonate Greases, Esters
Phosphate Esters: Durad®, Reolube®
No detail was provided in the announcement as to how much the increases would be, rather only a statement "Chemtura representatives will be in contact with customers to provide more specific information".
The company stated these price increases are necessary to sustain Chemturas ability to provide high quality products, service levels and innovative offerings.
Chemtura Corporation's 2016 sales were $1.7 billion.
