Afton Chemical Adds HiTEC® 3435 to Its ATF Range for EMEAI

Afton Chemical has further enhanced its Automatic Transmission Fluid range, with the launch of HiTEC® 3435 for Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT), meeting the performance requirements of a wide variety of vehicles.

A CVT can move steplessly through gears, allowing the engine to maintain a constant speed over a range of vehicle speeds. This allows the engine efficiency to be maximised and therefore improves fuel economy. However, given all the power within a CVT is transferred via steel-on-steel engagement, strong wear protection and high film strength is required to protect the CVT components.

HiTEC® 3435 is suitable across a range of vehicles to reduce operational costs for oil marketers, plus performance is assured by both Bosch Belt Box and full vehicle tests. For the driver, the additive package will ensure smooth function and protection by providing superior anti-shudder durability for enhanced driving comfort, and preventing unwanted slippage between the metal components. This can lead to a longer transmission life and can extend the service interval.
