Nynas reported last Friday third quarter total sales volumes increased for Bitumen and Naphthenics combined by 6%. Net sales decreased to SEK 4,992 million compared to SEK 7,019 million for the same period in 2014. Operating result before depreciation (EBITDA) excluding non-recurring items, and net income increased 51% and 345%, respectively.

Albemarle Corporation announced November 5 that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Tribotecc metal sulfides business to Treibacher Industrie AG. Included in the transaction are sites in Vienna and Arnoldstein, Austria and Tribotecc's proprietary sulfide synthesis process.

Jake E. Hill, a 10-year HollyFrontier veteran, has been elevated to Manager, Base Oil Sales at HollyFrontier Refining & Marketing. Hill joined HollyFrontier in 2004 as a crude oil representative and has risen in responsibilities through various divisions of the corporation during this decade. Hill will be based at corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX.

CleanOil Investment Ltd and Jebsen Industrial Technology Company Limited, have announced the start of operations of their joint venture, Zhuhai CleanOil Petrochemical Co., Ltd. Zhuhai CleanOil, will produce 35,000 tons annually of API Group II base oil and blend lubricating oil for automotive and industrial applications.

RelaDyne announced last week that it has acquired Mid-State Industrial Supply Inc. and J.B. Weimar, Inc., RelaDyne's fifth acquisition of 2015. MSIS is located in Nashville, Tennessee, offering extended strength and continuous product supply between RelaDyne's existing Northern and Southern markets.
