Petronas Lubricants International announced it will invest $50 million in a lube blending plant in Patalganga area near Mumbai, its first in India, with the first phase expected to be completed by the end of 2015. The capacity of the plant is initially projected to be 60,000 tons per year with a provision to expand the capacity to 120,000 tons per year in the second phase.

PTT Public Company Limited, the national energy company of Thailand, recently announced that it has executed an agreement to proceed with the commercial deployment of a small 100 bpd GTL plant to be located at one of PTT's production facilities in Thailand. Initial plans are primarily for the production of liquid fuels from natural gas from onshore wells in Thailand.

Elevance Renewable Sciences announced last Tuesday that it authorized the next significant stage of its second world-scale biorefinery in Natchez, Miss. The decision is based on the successful start-up and operation of Elevance’s first world-scale joint venture biorefinery, a 180,000 tons per year joint venture with Wilmar International Ltd. in Gresik, Indonesia.
