Oman Oil Company to Acquire Oxea Chemicals
Oman Oil Company has agreed to buy German chemicals maker Oxea from buyout firm Advent International to expand into downstream activities. The companies declined to comment on the purchase price, but a source familiar with the matter said the deal was worth about 1.8 billion euros ($2.4 billion).

Chevron Projects Lower Third Quarter Earnings
Chevron last Wednesday reported in its interim update that earnings for the third quarter 2013 are expected to be lower than in the second quarter.
