Malaysia's national oil company PETRONAS has tied up with India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd to supply customized "genuine" motor oil for its diesel vehicles. Maruti Suzuki, a subsidiary of Japanese automobile and motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki, haa a market share of nearly 40% of the Indian passenger car market.

PetroChoice, a value-added provider of petroleum based lubrication products and services in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest Regions of the United States, announced last week that it has acquired LubriCorp, a lubricant distributor headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Russia's ORGKHIM Biochemical Holding, a Nizhny Novgorod-based holding, announced it plans to build a USD 50 million facility in Singapore to manufacture petroleum-based extender oils used in tires, synthetic rubbers and rubber compounds.

Russian oil giant Rosneft and gas processing and petrochemicals company SIBUR have signed a long-term partnership agreement for the development, testing and implementation of lubricants and other oil products. The agreement, to be in effect for five years, may be extended if the parties so agree. SIBUR owns and operates Russia’s largest gas processing business.
