On 20-21 November 2014, ICIS and the European Lubricating Grease Institute (ELGI) will co-host the first Industrial Lubricant Conference in Amsterdam. Dr Valentina Serra-Holm, Marketing Director of Naphthenics, Nynas AB, on November 20 will make a presentation evaluating the role of naphthenic base oils in industrial applications during the conference. The focus of the program will be on technical and market aspects related to the main industrial lubricant applications including lubricating greases and base oils.

Dr Valentina Serra-Holm joined Nynas in 2001 where she currently holds the position of Marketing Director. She is now responsible for the global market of specialty oils within Nynas. She has a PhD in Chemical Reaction Engineering from Abo Akademi, Finland in 2000 and a PhD in Chemical Plants from Polytechnic of Turin, Italy in 1997. Her main focus areas are refining technology with special reference to naphthenic oils and application of naphthenic oils in finished lubricants. She was recently appointed to the Board of ELGI and is a well-known speaker at several industry conferences this year (18th ICIS World Base oils and Lubricant conference in February in London 2014, the UEIL 2014 Annual Congress (22-24 October 2014, Madrid).
