MAN Truck & Bus RUS to Factory-fill with LUKOIL Lubricants

OOO LLK-International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OAO LUKOIL, will supply LUKOIL-branded lubricants to the assembly facility and the service centers of OOO MAN Truck & Bus RUS, a subsidiary of Germany-based MAN SE, formerly MAN AG. The lubes will be used in trucks and buses of the MAN and NEOPLAN brands manufactured and serviced in Russia.

"Cooperation with MAN Truck & Bus RUS is an important stage in the implementation of an OAO LUKOIL program of import substitution for lubricants. Cooperation with the Russian office of Germany's leading auto group will considerably strengthen the positions of OOO LLK-International in the lube markets both in Russia and internationally, thus helping to achieve a whole new level of interaction with the global carmaker", Maksim Donde, General Director of OOO LLK-International, commented.

In November 2013 MAN opened its first plant in Russia in Shushary district of Saint-Petersburg with focus on heavy trucks. Starting from 2011 MAN is part of the Volkswagen Group. In July 2011, Volkswagen AG acquired a 55.9% voting stake and 53.7% of the share capital in MAN SE. Pending regulatory approval, Volkswagen planned to merge MAN and Scania to create Europe's largest truck maker. Regulatory approval was granted, and the takeover completed, in November 2011. In April 2012 MAN SE announced that Volkswagen had increased its interest to a 73.0% voting stake and 71.08% of the share capital. On 6 June 2012 Volkswagen AG announced that it had increased its share of voting rights in MAN SE to 75.03%, paving the way for a domination agreement to be put in place.
