Forbes recently published a report entitled "The World's Biggest Oil And Gas Companies - 2015". Many individuals think ExxonMobil is number 1; it isn't, in fact it's number 4. The largest oil company in the world is Saudi Aramco (12 million boepd), followed by Russia's Gazprom (8.3 million boepd), and NIOC (6 million boepd), then ExxonMobil (4.7 million boepd).

BMW Settles with FTC Over Mini Car Warranties

BMW of North America has agreed to settle FTC charges that its MINI Division violated a provision in the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act that prohibits companies from requiring that consumers – in order to maintain their warranties – use specific brands of parts or specified service centers, unless the part or service is provided to the consumer without charge.

INEOS Oligomers Completes Debottlenecking at Joffre, Plans to Build New 80,000 T/Y PAO Train

INEOS Oligomers announced its planned 10% debottleneck of the Joffre, Alberta site was completed and its plan to build a new 350,000 tons/year LAO unit on the USGC continues to advance. The company also said it will further debottleneck its PAO plant in LaPorte, Texas, by the end of 2015 and will install a new train of up to 80,000 tons/year at an unspecified location by 2018.

AXEL Opens New Grease Plant in France

AXEL France SAS announced it opened a new grease plant in Niort, France on March 11, 2015. According to AXEL, the old plant was limited in capacity and over time the technology became outdated and did not meet modern technological and safety requirements. After a new pressurized cooker is delivered this spring, production capacity will be 8,000 tons/year.
