AXEL Opens New Grease Plant in France

AXEL France SAS has announced it opened a new grease plant in Niort, France on March 11, 2015. According to AXEL, the old plant was limited in capacity and over time the technology became outdated and did not meet modern technological and safety requirements. After a new pressurized cooker is be delivered this spring, production capacity will be 8 000 tons per year.

“Two years ago AXEL laid the foundation of this new plant under Herve Grignou’s management. I am very pleased that we today are opening a beautiful and modern lubrication plant and I am confident that as a result of the operation, our industrial potential will further increase and strengthen.” These were the words of Pierre Seux, General Manager of AXEL France SAS, when starting his speech to the employees and the guests at the opening of the new French AXEL plant in Niort on March 11, 2015.

"The launch of the plant also serves the interests of bolstering regional production and because of one of our specialties, food grade (H1) products, it will also be a benefit for the AXEL Group" Seux said.

Later this spring, when the pressurized cooker will be delivered, production capacity will be 8 000 tons. This will enable AXEL France to grow further domestically and extend the export opportunities.

Pierre Seux finally underlined the positive outcome of the project is the result of joint efforts of the French management team. He also gave special thanks to Dominique Chargé who acted as Project Manager, Nicolas Mounier for his involvement and Beatrice Rousseau for her accuracy on the financial aspect.
