Chevron announced last Tuesday that its affiliate, Chevron Singapore Pty Ltd, has signed an agreement with Caltex Australia Petroleum Pty Ltd. to become an authorized distributor in Australia of Chevron premium Group II base oils Chevron Neutral Oils 100R, 150R, 220R and 600R.

A newly proposed ASTM International standard (WK52873 Test Method for Evaluation of Diesel Engine Oils in the Volvo T-13 Diesel Engine) will evaluate diesel engine oils for oxidation performance characteristics. This will be the first oxidation test in the U.S. to run on diesel fuel.

Netherlands-headquartered BRB announced that the new Viscotech Asia Plant has been successfully opened on August 1, 2016 in Singapore. The plant, a JV between Ban Guan Chemical and BRB Singapore Pte Ltd., is designed to manufacture liquid Viscosity Modifiers which are marketed under the name Viscotech®.

Last Thursday, Chevron introduced ISOSYN® Advanced Technology and its new line of Delo 400 API CK-4 and FA-4 heavy duty motor oils coming December 1, 2016 - Delo 400 XSP 5W-30 and 5W-40, Delo 400 XLE 10W-30 and 15W-40, and Delo 400 SDE 15W-40, all meeting API CK-4 and Delo 400 ZFA 10W-30 which meets API FA-4.

ExxonMobil announced last week that on September 20, the company will introduce the new product line and details of its Mobil Delvac™-branded CK-4 and FA-4 commercial vehicle engine oils on its website, mobildelvac.com.
