Castrol has appointed Auto Future Tech as the exclusive distributor for Castrol automotive products in Qatar. Under the agreement Auto Future Tech will distribute Castrol products across high street lubricant outlets, independent workshops, and automotive franchise workshop accounts.

Auto Future Tech, part of the Alfardan Group portfolio, was established to bring new automotive product offerings and extraordinary service to the Qatari market. The appointment by Castrol includes appointment in regards to the distribution of Castrol’s latest generation of automotive lubricants for cars and trucks, including the premium product brands – Castrol Edge, Castrol Magnatec and Castrol GTX.

The appointment was announced and a signing ceremony was held at a press conference at the St. Regis Hotel and attended by Mr. Omar Alfardan, President and CEO of Alfardan Group; Mr. Mohamed Kandeel, Auto Future Tech’s General Manager; Mr. Mike Phillips, Castrol’s Regional Sales Director; Mr. Rick Capoccia, Castrol’s Middle East Sales Director, and other executive managers from Castrol and the Alfardan Group.

Announcing the appointment, Mr. Rick Capoccia, Castrol’s Middle East Sales Director, said: “Castrol is absolutely delighted to enter into this relationship with Auto Future Tech which is ideally placed to serve a large and growing market in Qatar. This relationship offers a significant opportunity for our products and will allow us to expand our business in the region. Qatar is a rich and growing economy and the demand for lubricants is expected to increase over the coming years on account of the focus on developing the country’s infrastructure, tourism, sports and education. The market has a significant demand for premium quality lubricants and Castrol intends to be a key player in this segment. Castrol already has relationships with dealerships of premium automotive manufacturers like the BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships in Qatar. By appointing Auto Future Tech as our distributor, we expect to expand our reach to current and potential customers.”

Addressing the media and other guests Mr. Omar Alfardan, President and CEO of Alfardan Group, said: “We are very pleased to form this relationship with Castrol, which we believe shares the same values and ethos as ourselves. The driving force behind Alfardan Group’s efforts is to offer our valued customers the best products and services and Castrol has positioned itself as a leader in the lubricants industry, providing world class, cutting edge technology and customer service”.

Auto Future Tech is also the distributor in Qatar for Continental Tire, acquiring such distributorship late last year.
