Lubrizol and SAE TGDI and Higher Performing Lubricants Webinar Playback Now Available

The Lubrizol Corporation recently partnered with SAE to host a webinar, "TGDI Technology & Higher Performing Lubricants." The free webinar brought together industry experts that discussed the opportunities and challenges of turbocharged gasoline direct injection (TGDI) technology, one of the passenger car industry's most impactful and promising powertrain strategies.

Lubrizol was joined by experts from the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI), Honeywell Transportation Systems and Southwest Research Institute. Highlights of the webinar included:

- Perspective on the future of powertrains and vehicle dependability
- Turbocharger innovations that have contributed to engine downsizing and fuel efficiency
- TGDI technology from a combustion perspective and challenges such as Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI)
- Lubrizol Additives shared how lubricant technology helps TGDI engines reach their full potential, enabling peak performance and directly contributing to fuel economy

The webinar is part of Lubrizol's ongoing commitment to help its customers succeed, by advocating lubricant technology as a critical and valuable element of vehicle design. Together with new engine technology, higher performing lubricants can help reach the fuel economy goals set by National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA).
