In a letter dated July 5, 2016 to its customers, Smitty's Supply announced a price increase effective with orders placed on or after July 18, 2016 for both bulk and packaged products as follows:
* Bulk prices will be increased by 6-10 % per gallon (depending on product)
* Packaged prices will be increased 6-10 % per gallon (depending on product)
* Grease will be increased by 3 cents per pound

Smitty's Supply attributed this price increase to increases of raw materials used in the manufacturing of finished lubricants.

Smitty's earlier had announced a price increase on May 18, 2016 of 25 cpg on bulk and packaged oils and 3 cpp on greases effective June 6, 2016.
