LUKOIL Introduces Online Lubricant Sales

LUKOIL has opened Tmall.com, (Alibaba.com group, China’s largest operator of Web shopping platforms) an online store selling the Russian company’s branded lubricants. According to LUKOIL, the opening of this online store will contribute to further promotion of LUKOIL’s branded lubricants on the Chinese market.

LUKOIL’s flagship store in China is an exclusive trading platform for the sale of LUKOIL’s original lubes for passenger cars and commercial auto transport. The store is run directly by LLK-International’s direct dealer in charge of selling LUKOIL’s packaged lubricants in China, Suifenhe Wanfengyuan Economic and Trade Co, Ltd. The range of products includes the most popular high-grade LUKOIL lubricants in China: API SN, API SL, as well as API SJ, another favorite of the Chinese market, available in 4-liter canisters.

Customers of the store can find extensive information about the product mix on the website, including illustrated recommendations that allow LUKOIL’s original lubricants to be easily identified compared to possible illegal counterfeit producers, according to the company.

LUKOIL says its lubricants purchased by online users can be delivered to all developed regions of China within a time frame not exceeding 10 days.

“The opening of LUKOIL’s online branded lube store in China meets the consumer expectations in this country, where buying goods online is a highly developed service. Tmall.com is a major B2C platform with about a 47% share of all online sales in China. Opening online stores on Tmall.com is standard procedure for all global producers of lubricants, so LUKOIL’s rollout of such a facility comes as no surprise" remarked Deputy General Director of LLK-International Alexey Strelchenko.

"During the first few weeks of the online store’s operations, we have seen steady consumer interest in this resource and expect this interest to grow in the coming months. We are hopeful that LUKOIL’s online branded lube store will turn into an independent and effective sales tools in this area” said Strelchenko.
