Idemitsu, Pak Suzuki and TOTAL Parco Pakistan (a joint venture between TOTAL & Pak Arab Refinery Limited) have renewed the Suzuki Genuine Oil (SGO) supply contract for another five years. This agreement is an extension of their agreement signed in 2011.
Pak Suzuki is the market leader in Pakistan automobile market by having more than 50% of market share. The SGO journey in Pakistan began with launch of SG 10W40 and SM 10W40, when Pak Suzuki chose Idemitsu, who exclusively formulated SGO following the Suzuki technical standards. SGO is being blending and supplied by TOTAL Parco Pakistan Ltd, Idemitsus blending partner in Pakistan.
SGO is exclusively available at Pak Suzuki dealerships throughout Pakistan and since 2011/12, consumption of SGO has increased by five fold.
The new contract between Idemitsu and Pak Suzuki was recently signed to launch new SGO grade of Semi Synthetic SN 5W30, which shall be blending and supplied by TOTAL Parco Pakistan ltd.
