Western Marketing Acquires Felts Oil Sales

Abilene, TX-based Western Marketing, Inc., a leading, multi-branded lubricant distributor serving customers across seven southern states, last Wednesday announced its acquisition of Fort Worth-based Felts Oil Sales. Felts Oil Sales has been proudly serving the North Texas area since 1973.

"We have no doubt that WMI is the best choice to carry this mission forward and to continue providing superior service to our automotive and heavy-duty fleet customers" commented Phillip Hall, CEO of Felts Oil Sales. "All of our employees received job offers and they're excited about the opportunity of joining Western Marketing's team. WMI's breadth of products, its focus on service excellence and financial strength means their future is secure."

Mike Miller, Western Marketing's president and chief executive officer stated "WMI is excited about the opportunity to bring together these two great organizations sharing a common vision and operating with similar values. WMI will be able to better serve all of our Dallas and Fort Worth (DFW) customers as a result of this combination of resources and talent. Our line of top-tier products and services will enhance a strong customer value proposition across the DFW metroplex."

Felts Oil Sales, an authorized distributor of Castrol, Valvoline and Safety-Kleen lubricants, was founded by entrepreneurs Benton Hall and his son, Phillip, 42 years ago.

Western Marketing Inc. is a leading, multi-branded lubricant distributor, selling petroleum products manufactured by Chevron, Shell, CITGO, Phillips 66, Pennzoil, Castrol and Old World Industries. The company serves customers across seven states with an emphasis on truck fleets, agricultural, automotive repair shops, car dealerships, gas engine oil users, manufacturing plants and wind turbine sectors. Its sixth sales location, serving Dallas-Fort Worth, was opened March 2014. Chevron selected Western Marketing for its Gold Eagle Award in 2012 as the top distributor of Chevron lubricant products in the U.S.
