Chevron Oronite announced the name HDFlex ADDvantage for its upcoming new technology to meet PC-11 requirements and provide mixed-fleet owners simplified logistics and flexibility. HDFlex ADDvantage additive packages will include Oronite's patented new FrictionRelease Heavy Duty friction modifier component.
"Oronite continues to be highly focused on providing next generation automotive additive technology for customers with varying needs," said Jirong Xiao, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Chevron Oronite. "When it comes to meeting the new demands of PC-11, these products will help deliver durability, simplified logistics, and enhanced fuel economy benefits."
With its HDFlex ADDvantage additive packages, Oronite is offering customers flexibility in formulating finished oils used in both on- and off-road applications. The new FrictionRelease component will help enhance fuel economy beyond reducing viscosity, says the company. Oronite has also employed its ashless Valve Train Wear protection technology to help provide improved oxidation, protection from aeration and wear protection at a phosphorus level of 0.08%.
"HDFlex ADDvantage is the result of taking a fresh formulating approach to tackle the increasing demands presented by the upcoming category change," said Teri Crosby, global product line manager, Automotive Engine Oils, Chevron Oronite. "We challenged ourselves to deliver differentiated performance in both fuel economy and wear protection for both older and newer engines used in heavy-duty field applications."
Headquartered in San Ramon, California, Chevron Oronite maintains three regional offices in Houston (Americas Region), Paris (Europe-Africa-Middle East Region), and Singapore (Asia-Pacific Region); manufacturing sites in Belle Chasse, Louisiana (USA), Gonfreville (France), Singapore, and Mauá (Brazil); an affiliated blending and shipping plant in Omaezaki, Japan; and interests in additive companies in India and Mexico.
