IndianOil and Tata Motors have jointly launched a range of high performance co-branded SERVO TM diesel engine oils for the commercial vehicles of Tata Motors. These oils have been specially customized to meet the technical requirements of the engines of Tata commercial vehicles.
The TATA motors approved SERVO TM oils, formulated to maximize the performance of Tata vehicles, keep the engine clean, reduce oil thickening and smoke emissions besides controlling oil consumption, the company said. The Exhaust Gas Re-circulation compatible range of SERVO TM diesel engine oils conform to several international performance standards including API CH-4 and API CI-4 Plus.
Signing an agreement in Mumbai to mark the launch, Mr. KL Murthy, Executive Director (Lubes), IndianOil, mentioned that the launch of co-branded oils is the culmination of the joint efforts by both the companies to offer world-class diesel engine oils for their customers. Mr. Sanjeev Garg, Vice President & Global Head-Customer Care (Commercial Vehicles) who signed the agreement on behalf of Tata motors, said that they are happy to be associated with SERVO, the leading lubricant brand in the country .He handed over the first pack of the SERVO TM Engine Oil to the first customer along with Mr. Indrajit Bose, ED (CC & Branding) IndianOil. Mr. Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), during his address said that the launch of the SERVO TM products is part of the shared heritage of both the brands to deliver the best possible value to their customers. Mr. Rajendra Petkar, Head, Power Systems Engineering, Tata Motors, Pune shared the efforts of Tata Motors in creating world- class products.
Approximately two months ago, ExxonMobil and Tata Motors launched a new range of co-branded lubricants under the Mobil Delvac TM Genuine label. Specially developed for Tata Motors' diesel commercial vehicles, the new oils include an API CI-4 Plus, CH-4 and CF-4, all SAE 15W-40 grades.
IndianOil also has a co-branding arrangement with Maruti, Indias largest carmaker, Mahindra & Mahindra and Hyundai Motor in the passenger car segment and Ashok Leyland in the commercial vehicle segment.
