Tata Motors, Hindustan Petroleum to Launch HP Tata Motors Genuine Oils

Tata Motors and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) last Wednesday, launched the high performance range of HP Tata Motors Genuine Oil (HP TMGO), exclusively developed for Tata Motors passenger vehicles in the Indian market. The HP TMGO range includes Engine Oils, Gear Oils, Steering and Transmission Fluids, Coolants, Brake Fluids and Greases.

According to Mr. Dinesh Bhasin, Head, Customer Support, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors,“At Tata Motors, we believe in providing the best post-purchase experience to our customers. We are happy to have partnered with HPCL to develop a special range of high performance oils for our passenger vehicles range of products. Available across the country, these lubricants will ensure delightful performance of the vehicles for a longer span. With a commitment to deliver better performance, HPCL will offer trusted support to our customers and will further enhance customer experience.”

According to Mr. Rajnish Mehta, Executive Director – Direct Sales, “It has been our privilege to associate with Tata Motors, a trusted name in the Indian motor industry over several decades. HP Lubricants being the largest lube marketer of India looks to further consolidate its long standing relationship with Tata Motors in the coming years to offer our products meeting the requirements of emerging technologies”.

The HP TMGO has been formulated and blended from high quality base oils and additives, providing an enhanced engine performance through excellent deposit control and wear protection. Developed as per the regulations and specifications required for the international passenger vehicles market, these lubricants will be made available through HPCL’s retail and bazaar network and Tata Motors service stations across India.

Mumbai-based HPCL, the largest lubricants marketer in India, owns the biggest lube refinery in the country, in Mumbai, with a capacity of 428,000 MT, according to its website. The refinery produces API Group I, Group II and Group III base oils.This Lube Refinery accounts for over 40% of the India's total Lube Base Oil production. Presently HPCL produces over 300+ grades of Lubes, Specialities and Greases The Lube Business Line consists of Consumer and Retail Lube channels for Marketing. The consumer channel comprises of Industrial customers, MSME Customers and OEMs supplied directly as well as through the company's CFA network. The retail channel comprises the retail Outlets (Petrol Pumps) and Lube Distributor Channel (Sales in Spare Parts shops, lube shops etc.)
