LUBCON Opens New Philippines Lube Blending Plant

LUBCON LUBRICANTS ASIA PACIFIC Inc. has officially opened its new lubricant production site in Binan, Philippines, on the island of Luzon. Binan Mayor Marlyn B. Alonte-Naguiat and CEO of Lubricant Consult GmbH Katharina Hedy Engelke cut the symbolic ribbon. Employees, distributors and customers from various Asian countries as well as international guests and friends of LUBCON celebrated the opening. LUBCON did not disclose the capacity of the plant.

LUBCON LUBRICANTS ASIA PACIFIC Inc.has 19 employees with a production and warehouse area of 1,200 square meters, complemented by a well-equipped quality laboratory, modern offices and conference rooms.

LUBRICANT CONSULT GmbH is a worldwide operating lubricant manufacturer developing, producing and distributing greases, oils, pastes and sprays for nearly all industrial applications and manufacturing sectors. Known under the trade mark "LUBCON®", the company was founded in 1980.

Roland Metelmann, President of the subsidiary, stated “The new production site opens up opportunities to supply the increasing demand of the Asian market more flexibly. Being located within a Philippine free-trade zone (PEZA) LUBCON special lubricants can be quickly supplied to the customer without complications."

Heiko Engelke, CEO of the German mother-company Lubricant Consult GmbH concludes: “We are proud to have a team of specialists in the Philippines from the very beginning. Thus, we will continue to establish LUBCON as a brand of known quality in Asia.”
