Chemtura to Double Capacity at Latina, Italy Antioxidant Plant

Chemtura announced last Tuesday that it will expand its Latina, Italy site to increase capacity for primary antioxidants (ADPAs). The expansion features the building of a new ADPA plant that will double the ADPA capacity of the Latina facility. It is expected that this new plant will begin producing Naugalube® antioxidants before the end of 2016.

Chevron Embarks on PC-11 Public Education Campaign

A little over a week ago, the ASTM International’s Automotive Lubricants Subcommittee approved the new Proposed Category 11 (API CK-4 and API FA-4) specifications for the next generation of heavy duty diesel engine oils to be licensed on December 1, 2016. To help prepare the industry for the change, Chevron launched its PC-11 Public Education Campaign dedicated to building awareness and clarity around PC-11.

Oronite to Start Additive Blending in Ningbo, China by 2020

Chevron Oronite said last Monday it continues to expand its operations in China, announcing that it has recently completed the registration of Chevron (China) Chemical Co., Ltd, a Wholly Foreign-Owned Enterprise (WFOE) based in Ningbo. The project timeline currently calls for blending and shipping activities in Ningbo to begin in 2020.

PETRONAS Building $50 Million Lubricant Blending Plant in India

PETRONAS Lubricants International is building a $50 million state-of-the-art lubricant blending plant in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Patalganga, India. The new plant, situated on 25 acres of industrial land, with an estimated production output of 110 million litres of lubricants, is expected to commence operations by end 2017.
