Auburn, California-based Flyers Energy LLC announced last Thursday that it has acquired the assets of Allied Washoe Petroleum, a fuel and lubricants distributor based in Reno, Nevada. No price tag was given for the transaction.
Allied Washoes lubricants, delivered fuels and commercial fuel accounts augment Flyers Energys similar holdings in the region. The merger also allows Flyers Energy to distribute Shell brand lubricants in the northern Nevada market.
In a news release last Thursday, Mike Cox, CEO of Reno-based Allied Washoe, said, The industry is evolving in a direction that makes it increasingly difficult for small, independent marketers like Allied Washoe to be competitive. We are thrilled to now be a part of the Flyers team and look forward to enhancing the level of service that we can provide to our many loyal customers.
In a statement, Flyers Energy General Manager Rick Teske said the acquisition of Allied Washoe is part of his companys broader plans to expand elsewhere in the West, including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Arizona.
Flyers Energy franchises the Flyers fuel brand and distributes wholesale and branded retail fuel, commercial lubricants, renewable fuels and solar power in the United States. Flyers Energy is the marketer for more than 100 Chevron, Shell, Valero, and 76 branded stations.
Flyers distributes Chevron commercial and industrial lubricants to a wide range of industries. Flyers supplies lubes from its eight bulk plants across Nevada and northern California.
Allied Washoe Petroleum is a locally owned petroleum distribution company specializing in commercial fleet fueling services, bulk fuel supply, and comprehensive lubricant solutions for industrial, commercial and agricultural use. The company carries lubricants from Shell, Quaker State, Pennzoil, Red Line and Lucas
Allied Washoe, first established in 1900 in Reno, also operates offices in Winnemucca and Minden.
