JX Nippon Picks IMC to Distribute ENOES in U.S.

JX Nippon Oil & Energy, creator of ENEOS, last Thursday announced it has established a new distribution partnership with Interamerican Motor Corporation (IMC), a market-leading distributor of OE-quality import replacement parts. This agreement will enable IMC to offer ENEOS, a world leading OE lubricant for Japanese and Korean automakers, to IMC customers throughout the United States.

“The year 2016 has been great for ENEOS’ growth, and the IMC relationship is a critical component,” said Motoshi Sunami, President and CEO of JX Nippon Oil & Energy USA. “As a partner, IMC’s quest for quality and service for OE parts, particularly for Asian manufacturers, is the perfect complement to our own. We’re happy to count them as a partner.”

“IMC is pleased to add the ENEOS brand to our stable of OE/OEM products for the automotive aftermarket,” said IMC President John Mosunic. “ENEOS is a market-leading OE first fill supplier for Asian makes and has introduced coverage for European applications. IMC is excited to offer the ENEOS brand to our customers across the country.”

IMC will distribute products including ENEOS Fully Synthetic Motor Oil products, CVT Fluid, ATF Fluid, CVT Fluid, and 75W-90 Gear Oil.

ENEOS is the brand name for synthetic and other premium oil products manufactured and sold by JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corp., the largest oil company in Japan. Products made by ENEOS include premium synthetic motor oils, transmission fluids, and gear oil.

In September 2014, AutoZone announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Interamerican Motor Corporation (IMC). Founded in 1962, IMC, which currently operates 17 locations, is the second-largest distributor of OE quality import replacement parts in the United States. The company has been committed to offering an extensive parts line for all European and Asian cars. Original equipment brands are at the core of the IMC parts program.
