Eastman to Build New Manufacturing Facility, Expand Therminol® 66 Heat Transfer Fluid Capacity by 50%
Eastman Chemical earlier this month broke ground on a new manufacturing facility, located in Newport, Wales, capable of producing Therminol 66 heat transfer fluid and other biphenyl based co-products. Expected to be operational in the second half of 2014, the new facility will increase Eastmans total capacity for Therminol 66 by more than 50 percent.

Shell, Sinopec, Total to Build Singapore Lube Park
Singapore Lube Park, a joint venture between Shell, Sinopec and Total last Tuesday announced that they will build and operate a Lube Park in Tuas, in the southwestern part of Singapore. The Lube Park concept will be the first of its kind in the Lubricants industry, with shared facilities to service the partners’ respective new Lube Oil Blending Plants and Grease Manufacturing Plants.

Castrol Names Paul Waterman New CEO
BP announced on July 11 that Paul Waterman became CEO of Castrol and senior executive vice president of BP Lubricants effective July 1, succeeding Mike Johnson, who will retire at the end of 2013. Waterman, who joined Castrol in 1994, has been running the Australia and New Zealand Fuels Value Chain since 2010.

American Agip/Eni R&M Sells Its Long Island, NY Lubricants Division
Polsinello Fuels, a distributor of lubricants throughout New York, Vermont, Northern New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Eastern Massachusetts has purchased the Westbury, NY lubricants division of American Agip/Eni Refining & Marketing Company. American Agip, established in North America in 1987, is part of the Eni Group, based in Rome, Italy.
