Infineum Opens New Business and Technology Centre in China

Infineum last Wednesday formally opened its new China Business and Technology Centre (CBTC) in Jinqiao, Shanghai. The CBTC will become Infineum’s business and technology hub in China to support the company’s expansion in the region. According to Infineum, it is designed to help further enhance collaboration between Infineum and its customers so as to better serve this high growth but complex market.

The opening follows the recent ground breaking at Infineum’s new blending plant site in Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu province, with production expected to start by late 2015.

“I would like to congratulate the team on the excellent safety performance on this project” commented Fu Limin, Managing Director at Infineum China. “Our Business and Technology Centre project has been completed on time and on budget, and is a testament to the hard work of our team in China. The location of Shanghai and Jinqiao in particular was a natural choice for Infineum. As well as being located close to many of our customers, suppliers and engine manufacturers, the central coastal region of China offers excellent transport links to other parts of the country and sits within an area rich in talent and expertise.”

Xavier Le Mintier, CEO, Infineum International added: “Infineum is an organisation focused on delivering Technology Excellence in all we do. Today we have made a major step in that direction by bringing together the most advanced technology and the best talents here in Shanghai. This is a strategic move for Infineum, a move to support and help our customers meet their aspirations in the rapidly growing Asian markets, and a move to strengthen our global commitments on Technology Excellence, Reliability and Collaboration.”

Mr. Huang Guoping, CEO of Shanghai Jinqiao (Group) Co., Ltd., Executive Deputy Director and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Shanghai Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone Administration Committee, believes Infineum’s arrival further strengthens its credentials as a world class industrial park. He says: “We would like to welcome Infineum and thank you again for choosing to locate your China business and technology centre here in Jinqiao Park. We are deeply impressed by the team for being professional, collaborative and highly efficient. Building in a well-established site requires extra efforts, but the centre you are opening here today is really amazing and I see this as a reflection of both your strong team work and your prioritization on safety.”

The new Centre is located in Jinqiao Park, Shanghai, and includes research and development laboratories alongside office facilities with all major functions represented.
