TOTAL, CLASS Extend Lubricant Supply Agreement

TOTAL Lubrifiants and Harsewinkel, Germany-headquartered CLAAS, a major player in the agricultural machinery market, have renewed their partnership. CLAAS product range includes combine harvesters, forage harvesters, balers, mowers, rakes, tractors and other harvesting machines.

The two companies have been linked since October 2005 when Total partnered with CLAAS to supply a range of after-sale lubricants. Since then the collaboration has evolved to include the distribution of ‘First-Fill’ lubricants. The new contract is for five years.

Through Total Lubrifiant R&D, both partners strive to developed high-end products adapted to future models of agricultural machinery. AGRISHIFT XE is said to be proof of this, being the only oil approved for Xerion transmissions, the most high-end model on the market.

According to the TOTAL website, TOTAL and CLAAS have been linked since 2005, following the partnership between ELF and Renault Agriculture. After four years of successful cooperation, CLAAS and TOTAL renewed their partnership contract in 2009. CLAAS recommends a select range of TOTAL lubricants in every one of its maintenance guides.

CLAAS says it will continue to expand its lubricant business with Total Lubrifiants within 10 new markets in 2017, including Central Asia and Eastern Europe countries.

CLAAS, a family business founded in 1913,operates in 35 countries in Europe, North and South America, Africa and the Asia/Pacific.
