Biobased product certification and labeling is available through USDA’s BioPreferred program. Biobased products are composed wholly or significantly of biological ingredients – renewable plant, animal, marine, or forestry materials. The BioPreferred program is an initiative to increase the development, purchase, and use of biobased products.
