The Petroleum Additives business of Chemtura Corporation last Monday announced a price increase on its detergents products (Hybase®, Lobase®, Calcinate, Barium®, Surchem®) of 11 cents per kilogram effective Sept. 20, 2013, or as contracts allow.
On the same day, Chemtura also announced a price increase on its calcium sulfonate complex grease (G-2000 series) products of 11 cents per kilogram effective Sept. 20, 2013, or as contracts allow. In both instances, Chemtura stated that this price increase is due to recent raw material costs increases.
Approximately one week prior, Chemtura announced a price increase on its Naugalube® ADPA products (Naugalube® 438L, Naugalube® 640, Naugalube® 680 and Naugalube® 750) of 50 cents per kilo effective Sept. 15, 2013. The company also.announced price increases on its natural fatty acid based lubricants and its Diphenylamine (DPA).
