Last week, we advised that Siemens recently made major revisions to those oils manufactured/marketed by oil companies and approved for its Flender gear units. Siemens Flender gear units comprise helical and bevel-helical gear units as well as single-stage and multi-stage planetary gear units.  Application examples include belt conveyor drives, bucket elevator drives, agitator drives, hoisting gear drives, travelling gear drives, paper machine drives, dryer drives and water screw drives.  

 

Siemens, in March 2005, acquired Flender Holding GmbH, Bocholt, Germany, at that time, one of the world's leading suppliers for gear systems. According to Siemens' web site, the company claims to be the world's largest supplier of industrial gear units.
