API Releases New Donut Symbol to Differentiate New Diesel Oil

API will introduce a special Service Symbol Donut to help consumers identify the recently approved API FA-4 diesel engine oil, which is designed to protect the next generation of diesel engines. API approved two new diesel oil standards, FA-4 and CK-4, earlier this year.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change last Monday it is teaming up with Carfax to help customers stay informed about open manufacturer recalls on their vehicle. Within the next few months, VIOC will check vehicles serviced at any of their locations for open recalls using myCarfax.com as a courtesy and notify customers by email when any are found.

INEOS Oligomers to Build 420,000 MT/Y LAO Unit at Chocolate Bayou, TX

INEOS Oligomers said it had made a Final Investment Decision to build a new 420,000 tpa world scale Linear Alpha Olefin (LAO) unit at the INEOS site at Chocolate Bayou, TX. Once the unit comes on-stream in November, 2018, the global LAO production capacity of INEOS Oligomers will reach approximately one million metric tons per annum.

ADNOC to Build Lube Blending Plant at Kizad

ADNOC Distribution, the distribution arm of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, plans to build a lubricants manufacturing plant at Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad). The company said it plans to complete a plant with output capacity of 100,000 tons by 2022, with plans to double that capacity at an unspecified future date.
