Gazpromneft-Lubricants and Heavy Equipment OEM BelAZ Sign Lube Supply Agreement

Gazpromneft-Lubricants and JSC BelAZ (the managing company of BelAZ HOLDING and one of the world’s leading haulage and earth moving equipment producers) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The key areas of collaboration envisaged under this agreement include the supply of lubricants to the BelAZ dealership network; cooperation in research and development; and the development of new lubricants appropriate for the intense usage to which BelAZ technology and equipment is subject. Both companies are also committed to producing and retailing BelAZ G-Profi lubricants in 2016.

BelAZ is a major global manufacturer of heavy earthmoving and mining equipment, including mining dump trucks, dump trucks with enhanced cross-country capacity, construction & road-building equipment, vehicles for mine-servicing works, underground vehicles, vehicles for metallurgical works, special purpose vehicles and also railway freight cars.

Alexander Trukhan, CEO, Gazpromneft-Lubricants commented: “Together with BelAZ were are planning major work in research and development, the result of which will be a new range of lubricants — BelAZ G-Profi — intended for use in servicing BelAZ technology and equipment in various countries worldwide. I have every confidence that our companies’ strong technological facilities and resources, our collective production capacity, and our unique approach in providing technical support, will form the basis for building a mutually beneficial partnership, in the long term.”

Sergey Lesin, Deputy Marketing Director, BelAZ Technical Centre, commented: “BelAZ is one of the world’s most important producers of haulage, earth-moving and other heavy-duty transportation equipment for the mining industry. Ensuring the full reliability of BelAZ parts and components is of overriding importance to us as a manufacturer — and something that is essentially dependent on the quality of the lubricants we use.”

Established in 2007, Gazpromneft Lubricants Ltd has five production facilities throughout Russia, Italy and Serbia. Total production volumes stand at 500,000 tonnes of premium oils, lubricants and service fluids per year. The Omsk Lubricants Plant includes Russia’s most cutting-edge facility for the mixing, dispensing and packaging of motor oils, with a total annual capacity for blending and packaging of 300,000 tonnes per year. The company’s product range includes 500 branded oils and lubricants across all market sectors (more than 1,200 branded items in total). The company currently commands a 15-percent share of the Russian lubricants market, as well as operating in the markets of the CIS and the Baltic States, Europe, Central and South—East Asia, Africa, and elsewhere. The company’s products are sold in more than 57 countries worldwide.

Established in 1948, JSC BelAZ — the management company of BelAZ Holding — is engaged in the production of haulage, earth-moving and other specialist equipment. It is one of the three most important earth-moving equipment companies in the world. Over the course of its almost 70-year history the company has developed more than 500 modifications and produced more than 130,000 trucks with payloads ranging from 25 to 450 tonnes. In that time, it has delivered to more than 76 countries across six continents, and currently delivers to more than 30 countries worldwide.
